Is the world getting to infinite or tinier ?
This is a silly documentary exploring the internet effect.
Yet it was shown in the Barbican Center 's Cinema.
and despite most people gave negative comments out of the 80% audience that stay behind, (if you want to talk about figure)
despite that several billions of people in the globe is still struggling from poverty and political suffrage, there's no deny that at most of the time we assume everybody owes internet,
and it's like a micro version of globe that stay in front of us.
I still remember ten years ago I still struggle from reading slide newspaper to do my high school research project, and now we could get most answer( assume we belief in all) by one click (p.s. a friend told me that every google search used up the energy of boiling a kettle of water)
now we can watch the world through you tube, from random ideas, to documentary to performance to films. Does gaining such power means we become more intelligent and smart? or with a sharper eyes to look into the world? does that mean we understand ourselves deeper? does that mean we had a better vision on how we're going?
OR
as we skip the steps, erase the process.
we become less compassionate about the hardness behind anything?
that we no longer have the taste of time?
and all the taste is like "instant"?
there're no deny that we gain more power, in terms of freedom to express, and to choose what we desire to read and watch, with such power are we going to become more aware of what we are desiring?
since what we desire will become an instant result.
yesterday Facebook might have a group of "celebrating $6000"
today there's promotion sales on cameras, ipad; if we are not taking steps for charity.
or we don't desire to put it back for another visions, for somebody else's desire
but focus on our own tiny little monitor and screen.
today's world has no boundaries.
PIna's heat is still lasting from art festival to film festival (as a way to "memorize the master") in such a tiny crazy city where most citizens are never in touch with flower land and raw stones.
we are so used to "fill in every f--king blanks"
and now time.
when we close our eyes. suppose we see our desire vision.
and what is that, except our worries and regrets?
when was our last dream? when dream means a pure desire.
when was last time we use our imaginations?
when our hands was so empty.
